COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Ohio State University Department of Athletics will debut a four-mile road race this November that will be the first running event to finish on the 50-yard-line of Ohio Stadium.
The inaugural Ohio State Four-Miler, a four-mile run / walk that will celebrate football and fitness, will be held Sunday, Nov. 10 on the Ohio State campus. The race will be limited to the first 5,000 entrants.
The Ohio State Four-Miler — which will begin near Ohio Stadium and feature a four-mile tour of the OSU campus — will be a Buckeye-themed celebration featuring former Ohio State football and basketball players, Brutus Buckeye, the OSU pep band and a post-game tailgate party that will feature a rally to sing “Carmen Ohio.”
Participants will receive a long-sleeved technical race shirt and an Official Finisher's Medal that will feature an iconic image related to OSU football.

The Ohio State Four-Miler will be produced by the Ohio State Department of Athletics, the Buckeye Cruise for Cancer, M3S Sports and IMG College, the university's multimedia rights partner.

A portion of the proceeds of the Ohio State Four-Miler will benefit the Urban & Shelley Fund For Cancer Research, a general cancer research support fund dedicated to advancing cancer research at Ohio State's Comprehensive Cancer Center – Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute.
