Sold out field in 2014

The Ohio State 4 Miler, a running and walking event that debuted in 2013 with a sold-out field of 10,000 participants, will return to the Ohio State campus for the third-annual event on Oct. 25, 2015.

Registration for the 2015 Ohio State 4 Miler will open on Saturday, April 18 in conjunction with the annual Ohio State football spring game.

The Ohio State 4 Miler will once again start outside of Ohio Stadium and take participants on a four-mile tour of the Ohio State campus before finishing on the 50-yard line of Ohio Stadium. The Ohio State 4 Miler Race Day Tailgate Party will be held outside Ohio Stadium before and after the race.

The 2014 Ohio State 4 Miler featured a sold-out field of 12,000 runners and walkers. The inaugural event in 2013 sold out at 10,000 participants.

Kroger and 10TV are Presenting Sponsors of the Ohio State 4 Miler.

A portion of the proceeds of the Ohio State 4 Miler benefit the Urban and Shelley Fund For Cancer Research, a general cancer research support fund dedicated to advancing cancer research at Ohio State's Comprehensive Cancer Center — Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute.

Sold out field in 2014

The 2015 Ohio State 4 Miler will begin at 10 a.m. Former Ohio State greats such as Scoonie Penn, Raymont Harris, Bobby Carpenter, Anthony Schlegel, Ryan Miller, William White, Justin Zwick, J.J. Sullinger and Dimitrious Stanley; Brutus Buckeye; Ohio State cheerleaders and others are expected to participate.

The Ohio State 4 Miler is produced by the Ohio State Department of Athletics; IMG College, the university's multimedia rights partner; the Buckeye Cruise For Cancer; and M3S Sports.

Runners and walkers will receive an Ohio State-themed technical race shirt a must-have Buckeye-themed Official Finisher's Medal. The 2013 medal featured an iconic image of Ohio Stadium and the 2014 medal featured the iconic Ohio State football helmet.

Cost to participate in the Ohio State 4 Miler is $45 for the general public and $40 for Ohio State students during Early Registration, which runs through June 15, 2015. Visit for more information and to register.
